How the World's Leading Luxury Houses Build Desire With Creators

Luxury houses have always understood that desire is built in moments and is carried by the right voices.
The world's leading maisons sit inside one of the richest creator conversations in fashion, from runway weeks and red carpets to vintage resellers, editors, and art-world voices.
We analyzed creator content mentioning 148 luxury houses across ready-to-wear, leather goods and accessories, from January 2025 to June 2026. We measured performance with Traackr's Brand Vitality Score (VIT), which combines visibility, impact, and trust into one number. The patterns say a lot about where luxury attention comes from, and they hold lessons for any brand that wants creators to carry its story further.
Here are four of them.
1. The moment earns attention, and creators carry it further.
Fashion week is still luxury's biggest shared moment.
In the first half of 2026, Dior, Chanel and Louis Vuitton all hit their creator attention peak in March 2026, around the FW26 shows. Dior's VIT grew 269% year over year at its fashion week peak, compared with 92% for Chanel and 81% for Louis Vuitton. Top creator posts went beyond celebrity and press coverage into mega-creator GRWMs and product storytelling, formats that let the runway live on in creators' own voices.

The Fashion Week calendar shouldn’t set the limits. Louis Vuitton saw a second peak in June, well outside Fashion Week, driven by high-profile talent moments like Kim Kardashian's role in the Louis Vuitton x UNICEF World Cup. Similarly, Priyanka Chopra Jonas sharing a Dior gift drove a smaller summer lift for the brand.
The lesson: The content that travels furthest becomes part of something people already care about: a red carpet, a film premiere, a personal milestone, a trip. Plan creator content around your biggest moments, then give creators room to extend them through GRWMs, gifting and personal storytelling.
An early look at SS27. Q3 2026 data from Traackr’s new Luxury Creator Index shows the pattern repeating. For the top three houses by VIT (Dior, Gucci and Prada), September was the peak month as the SS27 shows got underway. Each house drew between 16.9K and 21.7K creators over the quarter, five to seven times the category benchmark. Yet a handful of voices carried much of that attention. In September, the top four creators drove 60% of Dior’s VIT, 49% of Prada’s and 21% of Gucci’s, and nearly all of them were VIP talent. Star power still sets the pace, but it’s only one of the voices shaping luxury.
2. Celebrity brings visibility. Specialists bring authority.
Luxury creators aren't one audience. When we grouped creators by how they describe themselves in their bios, seven communities emerged: Talent, Insiders, Aesthetes, Stylists, Connoisseurs, Wanderers and Sourcers.
Talent (actors, musicians, models, athletes) still drives the most attention by far, at 65.2% of segmented VIT. But some of the strongest voices for luxury sit in smaller, specialist circles:
- Insiders (editors, buyers, runway and press voices) gained more share than any other community, up 1.34 points to 9.7%, with a 6.2% VIT rate. They gained share in every market we studied.
- Aesthetes (creative directors, artists, curators) hold 13.6% of VIT at a 6.5% VIT rate, combining real scale with strength.
- Sourcers (resale and vintage experts) hold just 2.3% of VIT, yet deliver the highest VIT rate of any community: 7.8% globally and up to 11.6% in individual markets.

The lesson: Luxury authority is shifting beyond pure visibility toward specialist credibility, built on industry access, cultural authority and sourcing expertise. Keep Talent for visibility, and build alongside it with the voices who carry credibility in your world: the editor, the archivist, the curator, the reseller who knows your pieces better than anyone.
Finding those voices takes more than a keyword search. Abigail, Traackr's AI creator marketing strategist, lets you describe the creator you need in plain language, like "Paris-based fashion creative directors." She reads the intent behind each ask and returns a shortlist that fits the brief. In one pilot, the team built shortlists in about 75% less time than manual search. See how it works.
3. Wider circles of creators, with no loss in strength
Every one of the top 10 houses (ranked by VIT) grew its creator community over the past year. Ralph Lauren (+44%), Miu Miu (+42%) and Chanel (+29%) grew fastest, and Chanel now counts 33.4K creators talking about the house.
At the same time, the average audience size of those creators fell for 9 of the 10 top houses ranked by VIT. Houses are welcoming more, smaller voices, and the content is holding up: every top house kept its content performance (measured by VIT rate) between 4% and 7%.
As more creators contribute attention to these houses, VIP, Mega and Macro creators still drive 78% of luxury VIT and remain the scale engine. The growth is coming from the creators just below them. Mid, Micro and Nano creators are the only tiers growing in both total VIT and VIT per creator, led by Micro at +73% VIT and +27% VIT per creator.

The lesson: Keep your top-tier voices, and widen the circle with mid and micro creators who bring their own credibility. Then move them up the ladder, from the seeding base to the always-on list, and track it in Traackr. Traackr's Creator Lifecycle feature also shows which creators mention your house again and again, and how much VIT each one brings, so you know who to keep close.
4. Every platform has a job
Luxury's platform mix is separating by role.
- Instagram is the scale engine. It drives 9.6M VIT, about three-quarters of luxury's total, and its saves and shares grew 12.5% year over year.
- TikTok earns the strongest reaction. It has the highest engagement rate of any platform, at 2.33%. In Europe, it drives nearly 1 in 4 points of VIT.
- YouTube is the fastest grower. Its VIT rose 69.8% to 1.3M. Long-form suits luxury well: craft, archive stories, collection deep dives, and in-store experiences all need more than 30 seconds.

The lesson: Plan each platform around what it does best. For many houses, YouTube is the clearest place to look next.
Where even the best houses can go further
The same data points to three clear openings for luxury in the year ahead.
Bring the best voices back. Houses have built the breadth. The next gain is depth. Seven of the top 10 houses by VIT saw slightly fewer mentions per creator this year. Hermès shows the alternative, with the most mentions per creator in the set (3.05, up 6%). Inviting the strongest new voices back turns a single post into a relationship.
Make desire travel. VIT tells you how much attention a house earns and how strongly audiences respond. Saves and shares add another layer: the content people keep and pass on. Among the top 10 houses by VIT, the median post earned 86 saves and shares, with the highest of the group earning 121 saves and shares per post. Mid, Micro and Nano creators drove 22% of luxury VIT but 38% of its saves and shares, and Mid creators generated more saves and shares than VIP creators (18.2M vs. 14.7M). Briefing for craft, archive and styling content gives audiences a reason to come back to it.
Extend the moment past the calendar. Fashion week will always matter. The houses that also show up in cultural moments (awards season, film premieres, travel, personal milestones) give creators more reasons to talk about them all year.
Introducing The Luxury Creator Index
Luxury moves every season, so we built a way to follow it.
The Luxury Creator Index is where luxury marketers can read creator attention – house by house, moment by moment, refreshed every quarter. With it, you can:
- See where your house stands among its peers. Quarterly rankings place every leading maison side by side on one consistent measure, across 16 markets. Fashion and leather goods are ranked separately from watches and jewelry.
- Look back on your moments. Open any spike on the timeline to see what drove it, which posts carried it and which creators contributed most, from shows and couture to ambassador appearances and the cultural moments in between.
- Know the voices behind your house. Each quarter, the Index names the creators who gave your house the most attention, along with the rising voices.
- Back taste with evidence. Brand Vitality Score is one number your team can explain and break down, measured the same way for every house.
Desire has always been luxury's craft. Now there's a clearer way to see where it's building.
